Fiber laser cutting machine has a wide range of applications and can be processed and produced quickly and efficiently. So how does fiber laser cutting machine use laser to cut? How is the laser produced and what is its principle?

Fiber laser cutter is a laser cutting machine that uses a fiber laser generator as a light source. It outputs high-energy-density laser beams and gathers them on the surface of the workpiece, which instantly melts and vaporizes the area irradiated by the ultra-fine focus spot on the workpiece. Then, the fiber laser cutting machine realizes automatic cutting by moving the spot irradiation position through the numerical control mechanical system. Fiber laser cutting machine is divided into inner optics and outer optics.


Inner Optics
1. Principle of Cutting
The laser generator releases a super-density laser beam, which is irradiated on the metal plate through a light spot, and the cutting material is melted or vaporized instantly at high temperature. Then use high-pressure gas to blow away the melted melt and residue, so as to realize the slitting. Finally, the X, Y, and Z three-axis linkage is used to realize cutting.
2. The Production of Laser
Laser is converted from electrical energy into light energy. Because the conversion between energy and energy cannot be 100%, so while part of the electrical energy is converted into light energy, the other part becomes heat energy. At present, the electro-optical conversion rate of fiber lasers is 25%-35%. The better the performance of the laser, the higher the ratio of electro-optical conversion rate. Of course, the greater the ratio of the electro-optical conversion rate, the smaller the energy consumption, and the lower the ratio of the electro-optical conversion rate, the greater its energy consumption.  
3. The Production of Heat

Laser is converted from electric energy into light energy, because the conversion between energy and energy cannot be 100%, so while part of the electric energy is converted into light energy, the other part becomes heat energy. When this part of the heat is generated, it will stay in the laser device and damage the parts inside the laser. Therefore, it is necessary to take away this part of the heat through a water chiller.


Outer Optics
1. Transmission of Light
The fiber laser generator generates light, and the light is transmitted to our laser head through the optical fiber. Then there will be energy loss when the optical fiber is connected to the laser head. This is because the propagation of light is diffusive, and this kind of light is also called astigmatism. Because light and light are mutually exclusive, they can be infinitely close, but never intersect. Its shape is like a waist. When they are released by the fiber optic head, they take on a wavy shape.

2.Waveform light processing

Waveform light is not conducive to collecting and concentrating energy, so a collimator is needed to process the wave light close to parallel light.

3. The Function of Focusing Lens
The function of the focusing lens is to collect and concentrate the nearly parallel light to form a super-density light spot.
4. The Function of Protective Lenses
When the fiber laser cutting machine is in use, a certain amount of metal dust and debris will be generated. Some metal dust and debris will enter the cutting head of the laser cutting machine, so the protective lenses are needed to isolate and protect. (The protective lens is a consumable, and it damages 1 piece per month on average. Of course, the amount of loss depends on the intensity of the equipment and the scene, and the number is also different)
5. The Function of Laser Copper Nozzle
After the laser passes through the protective lens, it is released through the laser copper nozzle. (Like protective lenses, laser copper nozzles are also consumables, and 2 pieces are damaged every month on average. Of course, the amount of loss depends on the intensity of use of the equipment and the different scenarios, and the number is also different).
