Q1: What is the Canton Fair?
It, with China Import and Export Fair as its full name, is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC and the Peoples Government of Guangdong Province and organized by China Foreign Trade Centre. Held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, China, the fair is always of great importance to the Chinese opening-up career and hailed as China’s No.1 Fair and the barometer of China’s foreign trade.
Since its establishment in 1957, the accumulated export volume has amounted to about USD 1.5 trillion and the total number of overseas buyers attending the Canton Fair onsite and online has exceeded 10 million, effectively promoting trade connections and friendly exchanges between China and the world.
Q2: How’s It Going This Year?
In the first half of 2024, its total exhibition area reaches up to 1.55 million square meters, attracting 28,600 and 680 enterprises to attend its export and import exhibition respectively. Statistically, a total number of 93,000 potential buyers from 215 countries and regions have fulfilled their pre-registration. At the fair site, there are 13 categories and 55 exhibition sections in total, spreading over electronic household appliance, industrial manufacturing, vehicle, electric lighting, home construction, healthy leisure, etc. All of you, no matter what industry you come from will surely find your favorites.

Q6: How Can New and Regular Visitors Attend the Fair?
If it is the first time for you, please log in the fair’s official website for pre-registration and apply for your free first pass permit, or resort to other authorized outlets like hotels and airport. As for regular visitors, your previous certificates are still in valid and you can go straight in the fair venue.
